Todd Edson is a fine arts and landscape photographer based out of the Twin Cities. Although digital is his primary use today, he didn’t start out that way. When he was in high school, he started out using a Minolta as a hobbyist and quickly fell in love with the art of photography. He even went as far as becoming the staff photographer and photo editor for his school editorial and continued to do so for his college newspaper.

Shortly after college, Todd settled down and started a family and his career path took him in a different direction than he had hoped for. He started working in the Information Technology industry while putting his passion on the back burner. The last corporate career that Todd worked at was primarily in a training role where he educated adults on the use of the company's various products.

Since Todd has started his own business, he has been a director of photography, taught several classes on photography basics and several photography techniques used such as light painting and long exposure. He is very active in the Arts community with his studio being open for the annual Art-A-Whirl and Fall Festival events sponsored by NEMAA. He also travels in the Midwestern states to attend fine art shows in the spring, summer, and fall to display and sell his work.

Todd is an extremely artistic person and enjoys taking his photography to the limits. Most people think of photography as a photograph in a framed setting, Todd explores other avenues of this and thinks outside of the box in using canvas, floating frames, and encaustics just to name a few. He spends many hours on learning new techniques in the original picture as well as post processing using a variety of software. The type of work you can find by Todd are Fine Art and Landscape prints, occasionally he will still work with model portfolios.

On a personal note, Todd is happily married and has a teenage daughter. His wife Charity and his friends and family are big supporters of this endeavor Todd has embarked upon. He and his family are avid campers and outdoors people and are always looking for new places to visit. Todd loves to read, fly fish, and hunt among many other things.
